About Us
Exercising as you age can change everything

Why I Started Exercise for Longevity?
I started Exercise for Longevity because I saw a gap in fitness programs designed for adults over 60. While every type of movement has value—whether it's walking, Tai Chi, water aerobics, or other group activities—many programs don't include enough resistance training. Resistance training offers unique benefits that become increasingly important as we age, including maintaining muscle mass, preserving bone density, and improving the strength needed for everyday activities like getting out of a chair, carrying groceries, or climbing stairs. My goal was to create a program that focused on these benefits in a safe, approachable way for older adults.
What truly inspired me to start this business was my experience working as a personal trainer. When I began training clients over six years ago, I assumed personal training was mostly about weight loss or building muscle. Instead, I discovered something much more meaningful. I saw people move with less pain, gain confidence in their balance, and regain the ability to do things they thought they had lost forever. I realized that resistance training isn't just about exercise—it's about helping people maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and continue doing the activities they enjoy for as long as possible. At the same time, I noticed that many resistance-training classes were either too large for individualized attention or required members to travel to a gym, something many older adults simply don't want to do.

Exercise for Longevity was created to provide a better option. By offering small online classes that can be completed from home with minimal equipment, participants receive professional instruction at a fraction of the cost of personal training or small-group training. My mission is to make high-quality resistance training accessible, affordable, and effective so more people can experience the life-changing benefits that I have witnessed firsthand throughout my career.
